Embracing the Color of the Year: DVA's Interior Design Team Shares Their Insights

2024 Ushers in a new Pantone Color of the Year, Offering Exciting New Opportunities for Interior Design

As the seasons change, so too do the trends in interior design. Each year, the unveiling of the Color of the Year sets the tone for design enthusiasts and professionals alike, guiding us towards fresh palettes and innovative combinations. In 2024, DVA's interior design team is thrilled to embrace the chosen hue and share their insights on how to incorporate it into your living spaces.
Introducing "Peach Fuzz": The Pantone Color Institute has spoken, and "Peach Fuzz" emerges as the shade that will define 2024. A delicate, fruity tone evoking peace and serenity, "Peach Fuzz" offers a comforting embrace amidst life's uncertainties. At DVA, we believe in the transformative power of color, and we're excited to explore the possibilities that this serene hue brings to our designs.   Embracing "Peach Fuzz" with DVA:

  1. Illuminate with Acoustical Light Fixtures : Our team recommends incorporating acoustical light fixtures from Tegan Lighting to infuse your space with warmth and brightness. These fixtures not only enhance the ambiance but also contribute to sound control, creating a harmonious environment perfect for relaxation and productivity.
  2. Make a Statement with Area Rugs : Elevate your space with statement-making area rugs from Interface Flor. Adding a pop of color and texture, these rugs serve as focal points that tie the room together, inviting you to sink your toes into luxurious comfort.
  3. Pair with Warm Neutrals and Cool Blues : Strike the perfect balance by pairing "Peach Fuzz" with warm neutrals and cool blues. This harmonious combination creates a soothing palette that exudes sophistication and elegance, making your space feel both inviting and timeless.
  4. Create a Monochrome Moment : Embrace the power of monochrome by incorporating variations of "Peach Fuzz" throughout your space. From walls to furniture to accessories, this cohesive approach creates a sense of unity and serenity, transforming your room into a tranquil sanctuary.
  5. Introduce Textures with Nasco Stone + Tile : Add depth and visual interest to your design by incorporating textures from Nasco Stone + Tile. Whether it's smooth marble or rugged stone, these textures enhance the richness of "Peach Fuzz," creating a multi-dimensional space that captivates the senses.
  6. Celebrate Subtlety : Embrace the beauty of subtlety by incorporating "Peach Fuzz" in delicate accents and nuanced details. From throw pillows to artwork to ceramics, let this serene hue shine through in unexpected ways, adding a touch of elegance to your space.

At DVA, we believe that the color of the year is more than just a trend—it's an opportunity to infuse your living spaces with beauty, harmony, and meaning. Whether you choose to go bold or embrace subtlety, "Peach Fuzz" offers endless possibilities for creating spaces that inspire and delight. So why not join us in embracing the color of the year and see where it takes you on your design journey?

Embracing the Coastal Grandma Trend: Timeless, Tranquil, and Effortlessly Chic

Our team recently attended NeoCon 2024 at the historic Merchandise Mart and Design Days at Fulton Market in Chicago, where we delved into the latest advancements and trends in interior design. As one of the premier commercial design industry events, NeoCon is a pivotal forum for unveiling fresh ideas and pioneering solutions. While in Chicago, we gathered valuable insights into influential interior design strategies, particularly for an upcoming project with a private client and other upcoming ventures. We also met with this client to discuss their major office renovation scheduled for 2025. During our time at the event, we encountered a diverse array of trends that are shaping the future of interior spaces; from bold jewel tones that add a luxurious touch to interior spaces, to biophilic design elements that seamlessly blend the outdoors with the indoor environment. Let’s dive into some of the styles we love from this year’s convention. OUTDOOR & BIOPHILIC DESIGN ELEMENTS The trend of bringing the outdoors in and encouraging indoor dwellers to spend more time outside is embodied in the integration of planters, natural materials, natural shapes, and versatile and comfortable outdoor furniture. By incorporating lush greenery and natural elements like teak wood and stone accents into indoor and outdoor spaces, designers create seamless transitions that blur the distinction between interior and exterior environments. This approach not only enhances visual continuity but also promotes a sense of well-being by fostering connections with nature.
